Include:
- Your name, e-mail address, and (if you want to be contacted by telephone) your phone number.
- In answering longer questions, have a summary section which gives the essential details of your answer:
- summary of results
- tables and/or graphs with numerical results
- statements of theoretical results
- Use appendices to provide:
- detailed derivations of results
- more detail on numerical results (if needed)
- listings of your Matlab programs (these must be handed in for computational problems)
- If the problem involves computation, you must include evidence or commentary to justify why your program is correct.
- You must report on the correctness and accuracy of numerical results.
- You must explain any numerical results that are “strange”. For example, if you get a negative answer for something that should be positive, you must investigate it.
- You must report (in a table or graph) all numerical tests requested in the problem, as well as any tests that are needed to justify your work.
