Course Summary
This course is designed to be the capstone of the Master's degree in Operations Research. It is intended that it be taken toward the end of the degree program. The primary activity in the course is the completion of a major applied project, preferably as part of a 2-3 person group. A secondary goal is the consolidation of the student's training before graduation.
Each student will be asked to present an idea for a project. From these ideas, group projects will be selected. We will use some of the classroom time throughout the semester for discussion of the projects, either to monitor their progress, or as a way of exploring alternative approaches.
At the end of the semester, the course will conclude with presentations of the results of the projects to the department faculty. See below for date and time.
